time thanks to their daughter Bridget. Her name is Aurora Piper Theissen Uhl and she was born Aug. 11.
Wendy, Dick & Chris had a busy summer. They went on their annual camping trip to Emma Lake in Aug. They also spent time at Rowans and while there they visited with Ingolf & Elinor. Wes & daughter Kim also came down from Calgary. Wendy's job slowed down a bit over the summer but has picked up again. Dick was away in Sept taking a Sector Boss course for forest fire fighting. The week after coming home he went to Sask Landing Park to carry out 4 prescribed burns. First he learns how to put them out, then he sets them! Must be a government job. Frank Oehler was out to visit Chris in the summer (he only got lost once on the way there.) Chris wrote an entrance exam for the DeVry Inst. in Calgary. Wendy, Dick & Chris were all in Strasbourg for Thanksgiving weekend.
Brian & Heather were in Vegas in Oct for a weekend to attend an About.com conference. Brian worked for Sears much of the summer and is now completely immersed in his computer course again. He's doing well - top of the class....again. Heather was recently asked
to be the official webmaster on the internet for the band Trooper. That keeps her busy. They were all up in Cold Lake earlier this summer to visit Michele & Steve & kids. Had a good visit there and stopped in at Reinhold & Grace's on the way home. Brian & Heather managed to have some time to themselves this summer when Heather's folks took all 3 kids to stay with them for a few days. Heather is taking a 4 week course at the college.
Michele & Steve were in Peterborough visiting Steve's family for a few days over Thanksgiving. While there they saw a Toronto Maple Leafs game (go Leafs!), went to the Hockey Hall of Fame and saw the Halifax Bomber that had been pulled out of a lake in Norway. It's being reconstructed in Trenton. During Sept. long weekend they visited with Reinhold & Grace, coming home through Edmonton so they could visit Shayne. Kristina is in Grade 10 and busy on the senior volleyball team and is the school sports rep on the student council.
Uncle Fred & Aunt Edna had a good time in Aug with their grandson Donnelly getting married. Garnet & his family were home for that too. Garnet is finished with Eatons now, no point in
staying with a sinking ship. He has been with Camco since April and enjoys his job there very much. Donnelly & Robin's wedding was in Melville and all of the family was able to attend, with many of them pitching in to do cake baking, decorating, flowers, etc. Fred & Edna celebrated their 54th anniversary in Oct. Edna will be having heart bypass surgery in the fall.

Maryann's Mom, Joyce Payak, passed away in Weyburn hospital on Aug. 9.

Dad & Evelyn went on a driving vacation in September. They spent 3 days visiting the Fort Qu'Appelle, Grenfell, Yorkton & Batoche areas. They had good weather for the trip. The garden is all finished for the year with everything now picked, canned, pickled or frozen. They had a large crowd in for Thanksgiving dinner on Oct. 10.
Maryann has been choosing between different jobs with Revenue Canada. She almost took one in the Collections Dept but decided
