that since people in that area get yelled at by total strangers all the time (just because the gov't wants every penny!), it probably wouldn't be very fulfilling. Instead she accepted a full time permanent position in the Business Windows dept where only business people will yell at her. She began the training on Oct. 12. Early in Oct., Maryann flew to Vancouver for a few days to visit her kids there.
Jim has still been quite busy at his job, though it has settled down a bit now that they are "between seasons".
Jim & Maryann motored to the Strasbourg area for Thanksgiving. They stayed at Don's for some of the time, then at Dad's. They plan/hope to take all 3 of their kids to the Lunenburg County area of N.S. next summer to teach them about their heritage there.

Jeanne & Fred have spent a lot of time finishing up all of their gardens for the season. Now the shelves and deep freeze are full. Once again they had many of their "mutant" vegetables that appear to be a cross between a yellow tomato and a pepper. They taste great so they saved more seeds for next year.
They plan to travel to Jim's in November to do some finishing work in their basement, including putting in a new bathroom. While there they are expecting a visit from Terry, Judy & Daniel.

Their lives are just one big renovation these days. The house has been taken apart in every which way. Lots of work done and lots still to do. Allan's work project doesn't keep him as busy as it used to so he is able to spend more time developing his hobbies and helping supervise the renovations.
Kelsey has picked up another part-time job and is quite busy. Carol was off work for a short time and has been doing most of the supervision of the home renovations.

They hosted a wonderful family pot-luck supper on July 24. There were a ton of people there and their house and yard are perfectly set up for that sort of thing.
Things have settled down for Sharon at work just a bit with fewer hours finally. Larry has been finishing up
lot of his seasonal work too. That means he will have to figure out what his next project around the house will be.
Amber has been trying to develop her psychic (psycho?) side with numerology and cards. She has also been making her own potpourri. Dylan did some volunteer work at the big fish derby (Sharon did the cooking). He is a bit bored being between seasons - motorbike season is over, snowmobiling & curling haven't started!
The whole family had a wonderful time on holiday in B.C. for a week in Aug. They stopped at all the tourist traps around, did some fishing, sightseeing, gold prospecting, etc. They have a new computer! Email is:

They've had their fair share of company, like usual. There were many family members camping in their yard in July when everyone was home. They spent time helping get Axel & Petra's bikes ready for the tour. Their friend Laura was out to visit with her 2 kids in Oct. They also had Jim & Maryann there over Thanksgiving.
