Time for another newsletter, whether I'm ready or not. Why is it that sometimes we feel so much less "ready" than other times? I do have a bit of news to report here. This summer Roy & I both plan to be home in Saskatchewan. This time, Larry & Sharon have graciously offered their home as the place for a family pot luck get together. We don't have a firm date in mind yet but are aiming for shortly after our arrival on July 22nd. If you are an Uhl, related to an Uhl or a friend of an Uhl, please plan on dropping in to say hello.
Recently we also had our first "family wedding" for a member of the "next generation" of Uhls. While there have been previous weddings, they have been smaller affairs not held in Sask. This is the first that nearly everyone was able to attend. It was the wedding of Brandy (Jackie's daughter) and Craig. From all accounts it was a great success. A lot of hard work went into the planning of it but it all paid off because everything unfolded as it should and a wonderful time was had by all.

Terry & Judy
Life was back to normal for all of them after Jeanne & Fred headed home. Terry finally got around to going caribou hunting after they left. He promised his folks some fresh caribou meat. He went with a friend of his and finally tracked down a small herd of caribou. Terry aimed, fired, and saw the animal drop. He ran to check it, all excited, and when he got there he found 2 dead on the ground. They were standing perfectly one behind the other and the bullet went through the brain of each! Fantastic shot that you could never make if you tried. He considered it a very lucky fluke and immediately shipped one of the caribou down to his folks where they cut it up with Jackie & Wayne and now everyone is dining on fresh caribou.
Susan & Rob
Life is as busy as ever in their household with Erica becoming bossier with each passing day. Roy finally gets his revenge because Susan has finally met someone who can "out boss" her. Rob & Alex
