daughter Megan. Uncle Fred has had 3 gall stone attacks during the fall and may require surgery in the future.
Aunt Janette has moved to Regina. She is living with her son John who has been busy renovating the house ever since she arrived. Janette is enjoying the family in Regina and is settling in nicely. She went back to Vancouver in January to visit Donna, who is recovering from major surgery that she had in the fall and also to the U.S. to see Aunt Edith who was very ill in the hospital in January.
I called Aunt Bea on Christmas Day and she was sounding well and happy. Uncle Jack called me on New Year's Eve and his health has been much improved again lately. Jack & Alice spent some time with their daughter Maria and her family in California over Christmas.
Uncle Harry Ebenal had a stroke in the fall but apparently he is making a very good recovery and is back on his feet again.
Aunt Veryl & Lorne are headed down to Mesa for the month of January, then on to Victoria for March. They plan a trip to Newfoundland later in the year. They had Christmas dinner with son Gene and his family. Veryl took a trip to Edmonton and spent a few days with Jade
and her family early in December.
Michelle & Steve spent Christmas with Reinhold & Grace in Innisfail. They then went on to Lethbridge to visit with Brian & Heather. While there they got out Reinhold's old slides, going back to 1967. They had a wonderful time going down Memory Lane.

Dad & Evelyn were prepared, as usual, for a busy Christmas. There were only 27 for the "big" meal so it wasn't too much to handle. There were others dropping in for the odd meal or visit over the next few days but all in all they felt it wasn't as busy as it sometimes has been in past years.
Once Christmas was behind them they were happy to finally get a bit of snow cover. It was a "brown" Christmas this year in Sask and that doesn't happen too often, though Dad does remember a couple of other times, during the 30's, where winter was very mild. They had a quiet evening on Dad's birthday, New Year's Eve.

They are happily settled in and enjoying regular visits from their grand
daughters. They had the whole crowd in for a couple of meals over Christmas and loved every minute of it. Maryann has been feeling much better, thanks more to herbal remedies than to traditional medication. Her family doctor is well versed in both alternative & traditional medicine. She is back to work full-time and enjoying it very much. Jim is back working with a company he was with previously. He is getting in 3 or 4 days most weeks and is quite content.

Jeanne & Fred are humming along as usual. They are enjoying regular visits with Aunt Janette now that she is back. They spoke with Terry, Judy & Daniel over Christmas and certainly missed them a lot at that family time. They headed out to Dad & Evelyn's for the big Christmas meal there.

Chris had his hours increased at the university "help desk". He has also picked up more responsibility there. He is currently working 17 hours a week and it may turn into a full-time job after he graduates.
