Kelsey has also had a busy summer. She got a part-time job waitressing at the Luther Tower, the Lutheran Senior Citizen's complex. She finds it to be an interesting and entertaining challenge. She's back at school now and still working part-time. Besides that she was busy working on the musical "Oklahoma" and she has done some gymnastics instructing. She got her driver's licence and has been thinking up creative new ways to get the car before Chris does. I think they will both employ great strategy in that department.
Kelsey had the unfortunate experience of contracting mononucleosis in Oct. When we told this to Axel he wanted to know, "What is mono?" Roy e-mailed him a long article. Axel came back with, "Very comprehensive. Who was she kissing?" Roy replied, "A water bottle." The moral of this story is, do not share your water bottle in gym class!
Allan & Carol flew out to the East Coast to spend a few days. We spent Thanksgiving Day in the Annapolis Valley, then at Peggy's Cove. Carol stayed from Sunday until Wed. Allan had a few more days off and stayed until Sat. We spent a lot of time enjoying the fall foliage, exploring and visiting.
They looked up relatives of Carol's and a minister friend. Allan stayed true to his word, nothing but seafood the whole time! Fortunately the weather was about perfect the whole week.
As usual they have all been quite busy. Larry has been hauling gravel, driving bus and building a porch on their place. Sharon is still working a lot of hours too.
Amber and Dylan are enjoying being back in school. They got a new German Shepherd puppy, black and tan in color, in Oct. Dylan had an accident in Aug. See "911 Dept".
Don and Trudy attended his 25 year Highschool reunion in Aug. They saw several people that he hadn't seen much of since graduation and there were a few he didn't recognize. They attended several organized activities.
Since then they are back into the regular school routine. That means Don is doing double duty, driving bus and sewer truck with Trudy filling in on the school bus whenever necessary. This is probably why I haven't heard from them at all since Aug so
I have no updates on Danielle, Nicole & Justin.
Axel was out for a visit in July. Jo-Anne then headed to Sask for a week. Had a great time there visiting friends & family. The most fun, of course, was Diane's pot luck supper on Aug. 6th, which was very well attended.
Roy was busy the whole week with training a program he had written. He was also busy helping Axel to purchase a motorbike for his trip. (We all know how that turned out!)
Jo-Anne is published! I contributed a story to a children's book that is being published out of Winnipeg. In return I will get credit for the story and 20 free copies of the book.
Roy is back teaching now full time and also still writing programs. He is set up on the internet so that he can actually talk with Axel through their computers. Imagine how strange it is for me when I am sitting downstairs reading and I suddenly hear Axel's voice coming out of our computer room!
I have also had several tests done to check out the Crohn's. My large intestine looks great (and I have the pictures to prove it!) The small one though has about
