wanting one for a long time but was keeping it a secret because he knew his Mom would be worried about him driving the autobahn on a motorbike at high speeds. While we were in Germany he let us in on the secret because he wanted Roy to quiz him for the written exam. It seemed that while we were there, every time his Mom helped us unload stuff from his trunk, she would see his motorcycle boots. Axel would pass them off as belonging to his friend, Delia who has her own bike. Poor Inge could never figure out why he never gave the boots back to Delia even though we saw her quite often. I think she was a bit suspicious but she let it pass. He was even going outside late at night after she went to bed to hide the boots again. While we were in Heidelberg he wrote his written test and passed with flying colors. After practicing his driving for a couple of months, he took the driven test in February and passed. He knew he had to finally tell his folks because sooner or later he would be riding his new Suzuki to their house. Being the chicken that he is, he told his Dad first so he could get him on side. Then, being an even bigger chicken, he sent his Mom an e-mail message to tell her!! She immediately went downstairs to their bar and tossed back a couple of drinks. That put her into a better frame of mind and after she thought about it for awhile she decided she could live with it.
Other than all of that, Axel has been so busy travelling with his job that he hasn't had much else going on.

Dad & Evelyn had a small crowd of about 24 for Easter dinner at their house.

Jim & Maryann no longer have any kids living at home. I think it's the first time in a lot of years for that.
Jeanne & Fred have been busy with various little projects and odd jobs. They have a lot of work lined up for the spring. Early in April they were babysitting Roger's 3 children for a few days. That certainly kept them on their toes!
Real estate continues to be very busy for Allan. He sold cousin Ardys & Ed's house in Saskatoon and found another for them to buy. He has had a good year for sales so far. Carol continues to be as busy as ever at her job. They've been staying pretty close to home in the last while because Allan has been busy building his business.
Chris & Kelsey continue to be busy at all their usual activities. They have completed most of their planned renovations on their house for the time being. Sharon had some day surgery in February and took a few days
