Joy & Reg Joy continues to grow bigger with their new baby who is due in a couple of months. She is very busy keeping up with the 3 kids they already have but not complaining about it, she loves being a Mommy. She is feeling better during this pregnancy than the last one too and that helps. They spent some time with no electricity this winter. The major storms in B.C. just after Christmas had a real impact on their area. There was a lot of "digging out" to be done. Trevor Trevor has been very busy, still. He has been taking and helping to give courses so he has spent a lot of time out in the field. He did manage to get home to Saskatoon for Christmas and had a great time visiting with family and renewing friendships. Phil Phil continues to be very busy at work. He has been doing quite a bit of overtime. He is looking for a new apartment, since his current lease is almost up. He's considering getting a roommate so he can live a bit cheaper. He went up to Canso, N.S. to spend Christmas with his Aunt Cora and his cousins there. He continues to be quite busy with his friends as well. |
Aunt Veryl & Lorne have been doing a lot of traveling this year. They were to the Yukon & NWT. They also visited with Jade in Alberta, where Jade runs a small restaurant. They headed down to Mesa after Christmas, then out to Victoria for a few weeks. Gene has been working at the casino in Regina where he is a machine technician. Veryl's sister, Honar, passed away early in October.Fred & Edna have been enjoying the bounty of their garden. They do a lot of canning & pickling. This year they had a "dill making bee" as well as strudel & perogie bees. They plan on spending much of winter quilting. Reinhold went up to visit Michelle & Steve for Christmas this year. Cousins Fern & Ken of Alberta are busy with their cleaning business. Fern also works for the newspaper and Ken is busy with the Legion. They spent part of their holidays last summer traveling to Jasper, Mount Robson, Prince George, then over to Gerald, Sask for a reunion. They flew to Ottawa in the fall to take part in the Parliament Hill Remembrance Day ceremonies. |
Wendy, Dick & Chris were at Elinor & Ingolf's for Christmas. They spent a week but didn't do as much visiting as they would like because of the cold weather. They spent New Year's in Saskatoon attending a hockey game. Hunting season was pretty quiet this year but Dick did get two deer to fill up the freezer. Chris is very involved with school and hockey. Wendy has been off work since Oct. 24 because the company she was working for shut down. Another is taking over soon and she should be doing the same work as before, assembling printed circuit boards.
