spin your imaginary "Dream Machine", you would reach out and grab a dream. Sometimes you would tell me about that dream and sometimes not - We both had dreams.
I know that some of you have struggled with school the last couple of years and others may also struggle with high school. Before I close I want to tell you a true story about someone who just a few short years ago was sitting where you are now, in this very room. Average grades, not really happy here, and then just barely scraping through high school. But unknown by his parents at the time he had a dream. A dream that traveled to his very soul.
At a very early age he saw his Grandpa's World War II uniform. He knew then what he wanted to be. His mom and dad thought that it was cute and didn't think much more about it at the time. But that dream did go far. He joined the Canadian Armed Forces right after completing high school.
He honored his country by feeding and defending the starving people of Somalia - Just a dream that went far.
He has traveled to Norway and slept in snow tents above the Arctic circle, close to the Russian frontier - Just a dream that went far.
He has brought honor to his family and more importantly has brought honor to himself for living his dream. He now has asked a beautiful young woman to be his partner and wife for the rest of their lives. Just imagine the dreams they have for their future.
All of this from a struggling teenager who had - A dream that went far.
That young man is back here tonight, all the way from Ontario, to share in his sister Kelsey's dreams.
For all of you, those who have struggled, those of you that have excelled and those of you inbetween - Keep dreaming. A dream fulfilled will find a cure for cancer. A dream fulfilled will change the political direction of this country. A dream fulfilled will help bring caring to an uncaring world. One of those dreams may come from someone in this very room.

Keep dreaming.

God bless you all and good luck.
