Welcome to Volume 3 of the Chatterbox. I don't really have a lot to say in my Editorial section this time. Good thing too because there seems to be a ton of news. I have different amounts of news on everyone because the amount printed is directly proportional to how much I know about what is going on with people. If there is a lot going on with you and you've told me lots I will print lots. Some of you are very busy and hard to get hold of so for them there will be less, this time anyway.
Clarification: A couple of girls I work with (who seem to have no lives of their own) are faithful readers of this rag. They were asking me about Carol, the IV drug user. I then realized that I should maybe clarify just what this IV thing is all about. Carol is a nurse and developed a program that is a Home Intravenous Therapy Program. Many times people are in the hospital overnight and longer because they have to be on intravenous antibiotics to combat an infection. With Carol's program these people can stay at home and have a nurse

come in regularly to monitor their IV medication. People are much happier to be at home anyway and the government is happy because this frees up an expensive hospital bed.
Announcement: Again, about Carol, doesn't she just love the limelight? (Do you ever wonder why it's the limelight as opposed to maybe the lemonlight? Is this some sort of citrus thing?) Anyway, she has recently changed her name back to her maiden name of Hansen. No, she isn't trying to distance herself from any of us Uhl's. (That's just an unexpected bonus!) After 25 years of having to spell her name to everyone she works with she decided to go back to something a little easier. She claims that she will continue to answer to either name (indeed, she will usually answer to just about anything).
