![]() It was rather a rough winter in Strasbourg with many long time residents passing away. Hopefully the spring will be better. ![]() Dad was curling again this winter. He quit for a short while because of a health problem but after seeing the doctor and getting some medication he was up for it again. Dad & Evelyn both went to Bill's funeral in Alberta. It was a particularly difficult winter for Dad's family, losing Werner and Bill only 3 weeks apart. ![]() Diane & Gerry learned that they won some great prizes from Shell. They finished in the top 10% in Western Canada for quality & service in their store. They won a pair of beautiful gold rings that are being custom made for them. that he was speechless, which is just as well considering how he feels about country music. Frank & Niki are very busy with after school activities. Frank spent a lot of time working on a big school science project and is now on the verge of starting back with baseball for another season. consulting and selling burglar alarm systems. Jo-Anne has recently gone full-time at the dental centre again, this time on a permanent basis. She works both shifts so is there about 5 1/2 days out of the week. A couple of national events were held in Halifax this winter and Jo-Anne attended both. She won tickets to the Canadian Figure Skating Championships and was given tickets to attend the Men's Briar where she watched Sask defeat Alberta. Too bad they didn't go on to win the whole thing. There were more Sask flags in the metro centre than from any other province and Jo-Anne visited many of the Sask people. Jo-Anne also won a fight with Radio Shack that she is proud of. The CD player expired several days after the extended warranty did. Radio Shack locally refused to honour the warranty. After a carefully worded letter to head office, the person in charge of Customer Relations called & asked that the player be sent to her via courier, collect. It was then repaired and returned within 3 weeks in perfect working order at no charge. Who ever said that it doesn't pay to complain? Go to Page 4 |
