Erwin & Joan went to visit Bridget and family early in July when the reunion was cancelled.  They had a very nice visit over several days.  Erwin attended much of his usual women’s softball when it was going on in Vancouver in July.  They both were invited to Kelsey’s house for supper during the Labour Day weekend.  Also at that dinner were Roy & Jo-Anne, Chris & Shanin and Trevor.  The next day Roy & Jo-Anne went to their house for a very nice afternoon visit.  They are expecting to see Jos, Don & Fred at  Thanksgiving.  Bridget was at their house for a visit in mid-September.  She was enroute to Gabriola Island to take a month long course in producing documentaries.  Aurora stayed home with Ray and the two of them may be at Erwin & Joan’s for Thanksgiving.

Aunt Elsie headed out to Kamloops in September to visit with Dale & Sandra for a couple of weeks.  Dale has been managing a Starbucks outlet there and enjoying it.  While she was there, Erwin & Joan drove up for a visit.  Dale and Sandra live on an acreage about 12 miles out of Kamploops with their 2 dogs and 7 cats.

In the “Manitoba Corner” I heard from cousin Corey that Al & Vi Kuly were in Manitoba in July to visit family.  They’re both in good health these days.  Cheryl & Don Meads were out to Kelowna for a few days to visit with them in August.  Corey is in his last year of university for his Social Work Degree.  He has a placement with Manitoba Family Services office in Beausejour, serving the South/Central/East part of the province.  He will graduate in May.  His brother Tim has an excellent job working with persons with developmental disabilities.  Paul has begun to work full time at the MTS Centre (the Arena in Winnipeg) for the winter.  He’s met some very interesting famous folks while working there:  Rod Stewart, Paul Anka, Green Day, etc.

Corey’s sister Megan is finishing up high school this year.  Johnny’s wife Marian is doing quite well.  Her granddaughter Melissa has moved into Winnipeg.  Melissa’s sister Ashley is in her second year at the University of Winnipeg.

Aunt Janette and cousin John were in Bulyea for the homecoming celebrations during the long August weekend.  They brought Uncle Ed’s ashes with them and buried them with Grandpa Ebenal at Kroneau.  They had a very nice ceremony there with many family members attending.

Here is a picture of Jim preparing to bury the ashes, which everyone helped with.
