Marilyn had
her granddaughter Nadine visiting
for a few
weeks during the summer. Terri spent
much of the summer doing babysitting, usually having 3-5 children each
day. Shawna has
been quite busy working
an evening shift at a little pub in town. Marilyn
has had several doctor appointments for her
neuropathy
problems. She purchased an electrical
device that has helped considerably. She
has since had a great improvement in the nerves in her
arms, hands
and feet. She spent 6 days in Edmonton with
appointments. While
there she
managed to attend two birthday parties, two jam sessions and a bridal
shower.
GERMAN CONNECTION
Everyone is adjusting well to life as a family of four. Linus was reluctant to give up the spotlight but he now seems to understand that Nils is here to stay so he might as well get used to him. The family was on the Costa Brava in Spain for a vacation with Petra’s brother and family in May.
While
there they were camping and visiting
around the area, including a visit to the Dali museum.
Life has been much quieter since Nils
arrived. Axel took about 3 weeks off
before going back to work. Petra
planned on taking both children out for 5 days along with a friend and
her 2
children. Axel planned to be in Vienna on
business at that time. Petra’s
birthday fell during that week but they decided they could celebrate it
together on the weekend.
This is a picture that Axel took of Linus before Nils was born.
That was when Linus was the happy, only child who was finding out how
much fun it is to look really cool.
