Brook and her friend Angie were at a Lenny Kravitz concert in May.  Brook was in Moose Jaw for a few days in June and July.  She was home for “ReUhlion Light” and also spent a lot of time visiting her friends as well as family.  Brook, Helen and Fred spent a day in Strasbourg taking in all the festivities on July 1st weekend.  Brook was in Moose Jaw again later in August with Chris for a family wedding on Fred’s side.  Chris also went to Winnipeg for a visit.  Brook & Chris attended Sonya & Nick’s wedding on the Labour Day weekend in Vancouver.  Brook will be off to Spain in May of next year with her friend Meaghan to celebrate Meaghan’s graduation from Carleton University.
Helen & Fred have had a busy summer.  They were in Strasbourg to visit relatives on several occasions and bought a new car.  They had company several times over the summer and attended a lot of activities with Fred’s family.  Fred’s sister visited from Calgary in August.

I have a couple of great pictures of cousin Patty’s two girls, Jordan and Jess.  Jess has the lighter hair and is in the picture in the previous column.  This one is Jordan.

Jessica is in grade 6 and Jordan is going into grade 9.  Both girls were very involved in lacrosse over the spring.  Jordan was on a couple of different teams, including one that traveled to Vancouver by bus where they managed to have a great deal of fun and do some sightseeing as well.  Her regular team earned a spot in the Provincial Playoffs in Edmonton.  Patty, Art and the girls managed to spend some enjoyable “down time” in Saskatchewan visiting family there.  They were grateful to be so nearby when Dave Labbie had his construction accident.

Agnes and her whole family had a big scare in August when Cathy’s husband, Dave, was injured in a construction accident in PA.  He suffered a broken nose and broken jaw and was very fortunate that it wasn’t any worse.  He was taken to hospital in Saskatoon where he stayed for a few days before going home to continue his recuperation. He made a very remarkable recovery and was back at work around mid-September on light duties.
