They continued to use the motorhome many weekends for camping up north and are now looking forward to snowmobile season.  Terry was best man at a friend’s wedding shortly after they returned to Yellowknife.  Terry has started putting laminate flooring down throughout their house.  Judy is feeling very healthy and is happy to be back at work again.  Danny finished grade 6 and is in grade 7 this fall.  Judy recently got a new car, a 2006 Chev Cobalt.  Unfortunately, their camera met with an “incident” while on holiday so we weren’t able to get a picture of it.

ALLAN BRANCH

Trev, Chris & Kelsey continue to lead very busy lives, getting together on a regular basis.  Kelsey finished up her university courses and went home to Saskatoon for the summer, where she spent time with her friends, as well as Carol , Ron, Chris & Shanin.  She did very well in school and is enjoying the next term.  All three of them got together in Edmonton for the Father’s Day weekend.  Chris and Kelsey stayed with Trev and they had a lot of fun with their friends. On Father’s Day they had Jim & Maryann and some of their family over for a visit.  They shared some rhubarb strawberry pie in honour of Allan (his favorite!) and enjoyed being together as a family. Kelsey was in Edmonton again in July for another visit.  Trev, Chris & Kelsey all attended Carol & Ron’s wedding on July 23rd.  Kelsey’s friend April drove from Calgary to visit her late in August.  They had a great time together, playing “tourist” over in Victoria and poking around Vancouver a lot.  Kelsey has also started a running program and is enjoying getting into shape with that. She hosted a wonderful dinner party in her home on September 3rd for Trev, Chris, Shanin, Roy, Jo-Anne, Erwin & Joan.  Everyone raved about her homemade lasagna, followed by a delicious apple pie.

Kelsey is immersed in university life again now and is planning to move into her own apartment in the near future.
On the July long weekend Chris, Shanin & Kelsey all came down to the Strasbourg area to enjoy “ReUhlion Light”.  They stayed over at Larry & Sharon’s and participated in a lot of fun visiting.  They managed to patronize both the Bulyea and Strasbourg bars, as well as attending some of the Strasbourg Homecoming events and doing some good visiting with Dad & Evelyn.  They were happy to have several other cousins around to visit with as well.  On July 18th Chris & Trev both went to Vegas on vacation.  Chris has a very good description of the whole thing on his web-site in the Blog section:  http://uhler.smugmug.com/

Trev was very busy out “in the field” on exercises of one type or another during the summer.  In August he was involved in a lot of jumping out of helicopters and into lakes!  Not like when someone says to you, “go jump in the lake” but rather a much more complicated and professional thing with full parachuting gear on.  He has been enjoying living in Edmonton and sure likes having his own home.  He and Chris went on the “Grouse Grind” in Vancouver, which is basically hiking up the side of Grouse Mountain.  They’re obviously in very good shape because they did it in the same time frame as the average 70 year old woman!  (each one of them blames the other for this and I’ll likely be in big trouble for “telling”)  Trev, Chris, Shanin & Kelsey all attended Sonya & Nick’s wedding on September 4th in Vancouver.  This very happy event was followed by a very sad one.  The next day they were all on a plane headed to Saskatchewan to attend the funeral of their Grandpa, Ole Hansen.  He was a dear, sweet man and will be greatly missed by his entire family.
