![]() Marilyn was in Edmonton in December for medical tests and will return for more in May. She was found to have an inflammation in her blood which required gammaglobulin infusions over a period of time, beginning in mid-April. They had mild weather over Christmas, which was very nice. Shawna’s little girl Marley is an avid reader, setting her alarm to get up at 6 every morning so she can read for an hour before school! Terri’s daughter Ashley, was in Europe during March. She saved money from her job to buy her tickets herself. Shawna accompanied her and they were both at the Vatican for Easter Sunday. |
Quite a momentous occasion since they saw the Pope during his last time overlooking the Vatican square at Easter. They went to Paris after that and arrived home early in April. Shawna is now working at a greenhouse where she loves to indulge her passion for plants and gardening. Terri will finish her office administration course at the end of April and will then be job hunting. Marilyn’s 16 year old grandson Kyle is living with her and Joe. Joe is considering renting out their farm this year. I've heard from the "Manitoba Crew". It’s been a year now since Johnny passed away and his granddaughters, Melissa & Ashley, are just finishing up their university courses for the summer. Melissa is working as a municipal administrator in Beausejour while Ashley has been going to the U. of Winnipeg full time. Corey & Tim LeGrand are just finishing their 3rd year at university. Tim will be working for a landscaping company all summer, while Corey plans to take courses in order to graduate in April next year with his Bachelor of Social Work. Their younger brother Paul is working two jobs, one at KFC and another with MTS Centre, where he gets to meet all sorts of famous people who come through to perform. Recently he was personal assistant for a day to Rod Stewart! Their sister Megan works part-time at a grocery store in Beausejour. Their folks, Cheryl & Don, are doing well. Don still works as a truck driver but now he only drives in Canada. He crosses the country every month from Vancouver to Toronto.Go To Page 15 |
