JEANNE & FRED
BRANCH The Triffo family
Christmas party
was held at Barry
and
Jean’s on December 11th, with many local Triffos
attending. Jeanne & Fred
spent time over at Jackie
& Wayne’s for Christmas and
for Easter. Easter was a real treat because the “next
generation” did
all the
cooking for everyone. (No Chris, I don’t
mean Star Trek Next Generation – calm down. I
mean Jackie’s kids.) This
really has been the newsletter for hospital reports.
Fred was in hospital early in March for an inguinal hernia
repair. Jeanne has been very busy with
tax time again. She and Jackie were
happy to report that they won contests for promoting new lottery
tickets and
their booth was one of the top for sales of the new tickets in the
province.
Terry and Judy were very happy to report that Judy had her last chemo treatments in mid-March. She wasn’t even sick at all for the last couple of treatments and she is looking forward to life getting back to normal again. She went back to work in April and could hardly wait to get started again. On the first weekend in April, Terry, Judy and 18 other friends took a long snowmobile trip to Pilote Point Lodge for a fun weekend. ![]() They have two snowmobiles now so they each had their own for the trip. They left a friend to look after Danny and Shelby. Terry gets 6 weeks vacation this summer and is enjoying planning all the trips in the motorhome. |
Judy is going to be a Team Captain
in the “Relay
for Life”
cancer fundraiser taking place in Yellowknife
in June. After the battle she has had with
breast
cancer, she felt it was time to take a more active role in raising
money for
this very worthy cause. She has set a
goal of raising $2000
and is looking for support from family and friends to help
her give cancer the boot! Anyone
reading this who is interested in helping, please make
a cheque out to the Canadian
Cancer Society and mail it to: Lets all support her as much as we can!
