| Banana Cake |
| 2 1/2 cups flour 2 1/2 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp soda 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 cup shortening 1 cup sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp vanilla 2 1/2 tbsp milk 1 cup mashed banana |
| Sift flour, measure, add baking powder, soda and salt. Sift again. Cream shortening, add sugar gradually, cream together until light and fluffy. Add well beaten eggs, beat thoroughly, add vanilla. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk and bananas, stirring only enough after each addition to blend thoroughly. Pour into 2 greased 9" layer pans and bake at 350 for about 25-30 minutes. |
