Cinnamon Buns |
2 envelopes yeast 2 tsp sugar 1 cup milk 1 cup lukewarm water 6 tbsp shortening 1/2 cup sugar 1 tsp salt 7 cups flour 3 eggs, beaten |
Add: yeast and 2 tsp sugar to lukewarm water. Stir and let stand 10 minutes in small bowl. Add milk, shortening, sugar and salt to 2 cups of flour to make a batter. Add yeast and eggs. Beat well, add remaining flour, or enough to make a soft dough. Let rise until double in bulk or 2 hours. Punch down then make any desired buns from this batter. |
