Uncooked Bread & Butter Pickles
6 large cukes, sliced
4 onions, sliced
1/4 cup salt
1 pint vinegar
1 tsp celery seed
1 tsp mustard seed
Place cukes and onions and salt in large bowl. Let stand 1 hour. Drain thoroughly. Do not rinse. Pack in jars. Boil the brine for 3 minutes. Pour hot vinegar mixture over cukes to overflowing. Seal at once.
