FEBRUARY 2001

A WORD FROM YOUR EDITOR:

Welcome to a new edition of the Chatterbox on-line. It is five months since the last one came out and I sure have enjoyed not having a deadline to meet. I am hoping that the newsletter will continue to evolve as time goes on. The format may change from time to time, depending on what I have to put into it. For now, I plan to stick with the idea of having one long newsletter that just continues down one column, then back to the top and continue down that one. Why, you ask? Because. No other good reason.

MEMORIAL TRIBUTE TO MOM:

On January 13, 2001 there was a memorial tribute to our mom, Anne Uhl, held at Diane & Gerry's house. Anyone who was there can tell you that it was truly amazing. Why don't you let me take you there, just for a moment.....

All of Mom's children, along with all of their spouses (except Roy) and many of her grandchildren, and a few great-grandchildren and friends gathered in the basement rec room. Not long after we got started, we were joined by Dad and Evelyn, which was a wonderful surprise for all of us. We began with Diane playing the song "IOU" by Jimmy Dean. This had long been one of Mom's favorite songs and in it the storyteller talks about all the things he owes to his Mom throughout his life. It certainly put us all in the mood. There were tears from many of us, but they were cleansing, healing tears.

All of us kids remember a particular item from our childhood, an item that recalls "home" for us. Don is in possession of one of those items. It looks like a smooth rock that just barely fits in the palm of your hand. It is extremely heavy and is actually a piece of iron ore from a mine in Alaska. Uncle Jack gave it to Mom many years ago and at the farm house it always held open the door of the boys' bedroom. Allan held this stone and explained to us that what we would do is pass it around from one to another. Whoever was in possession of the stone "had the floor" and the right to speak about whatever they wanted, uninterrupted.

We started with Jim, worked through all Mom's kids, went to Kathy Ferguson, the spouses, whichever grandchildren felt that they wanted to speak. It was a very moving experience for all of us. To say that "we laughed, we cried" would be an understatement.. Many of us struggled to get out the words we wanted to say but were hampered by a large lump in our throats and water in our eyes. It was a rather contagious problem but we managed to struggle through.

It was quite something to see all of us sitting around, with tears flowing freely and no one being embarrassed, not even "the boys". That isn't something that we are used to seeing. We all just allowed ourselves to feel all of our feelings and express them openly. If someone needed some comfort, there was always someone ready to offer a shoulder, rub their arm, or give whatever comfort they needed. The whole thing was about sharing. And just when you thought you would burst with emotion, someone (usually Larry) would say something completely silly and we would all be laughing.

It was also quite amazing to see the impact that Mom had, and still has, on her grandchildren. Those who spoke were very young when she died, but they had things to say that were important to them. Things that showed that Mom still impacts strongly on their lives now, 10 years later. That proves to me that our Mom was a huge success at the thing that mattered the most to her - motherhood. The fact that we all came together - children, grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, spouses - shows that she really was someone to be proud of. She inspired us all and she still does.

After we had talked ourselves out, we all went upstairs where we enjoyed a pot luck supper. Another thing Mom did very well - she inspired all of us to be great cooks. No one could make cabbage rolls like Mom, for instance. However, you can barely tell Diane's from Mom's. Most of us spent the evening there as well and had great fun. Lots of talking and laughter, just as there always is when we are all together.

The next day several of us showed up at Diane's again to help finish off some of the food. Don brought a tape that he had made years ago in memory of Eileen and we had such a good time watching it, looking at the old pictures. There was also video footage of a New Year's Eve at Don & Trudy's where we were all together and took family pictures.

The whole "memorial" idea was a great one. All of us were very touched, felt the closeness of our family bond, and embraced it. The tears were tears of healing and comfort more than sadness. We hope to do the whole thing again in another 10 years. I pray we are all there for that one too. Below is a picture of all of us, which was taken on January 13 by Maryann.

DAD & EVELYN

Dad & Evelyn had a rather small crowd for Christmas dinner this year, only about 20 or so. The nice thing about having so few is that everyone gets to visit a bit more effectively. They were very happy after Christmas when Allan, Carol and Trevor all came to spend a few days. It's not often that they get much visiting time with Trev. They had more company in January when Jo-Anne came for 10 days and Jim & Maryann were there for a weekend. Other than all that they've had a fairly quiet winter with regular trips to town.

JIM & MARYANN BRANCH

Jim & Maryann have been enjoying an unusually mild Alberta winter. While they had a fair bit of snow early in the winter and cold weather here and there, January was exceptionally warm and there was no snow to be seen. Maryann had an aunt pass away in Weyburn in early November. They spent time with all of their children over the Christmas season. Jim & Maryann both drove to Saskatchewan for the January 13th weekend so they could attend Mom's memorial. Things didn't quite go as planned when their vehicle broke down on the way. When the repairs weren't going to be done in time they decided to rent a small car (foreign built, don't even get Jim started on this) and they made it on time.

In November Reg earned his autobroker's licence and immediately opened his new business, RDF Autobrokers. Jim & Maryann spent a lot of time in the fall with Reg and the girls, helping to "fill in" for Joy's absence. They were also part of a conspiracy to get the family moved into their new home while Joy was in Bosnia. When Joy arrived home just after Christmas, she was expecting they would be in their old house. She was very pleasantly surprised to see that they were actually living in their new home. .

Here is a shot taken of Joy in her new bathroom jacuzzi. Life was pretty hectic for a while for Joy & Reg, what with tying up loose ends at the old house. While Joy was home her best friend, Barb, had to deal with the sudden loss of her Dad due to an accident in Saskatchewan. Joy and Reg's new address is: 111 Westpark Way, Fort Saskatchewan, AB, T8L 4L6. Joy returned to Bosnia on January 12 but wasn't there for long. While she had been home on leave Ottawa had come out with a new directive that they would no longer send armed forces members on long courses followed immediately by a tour of duty. That is what happened to Joy and it turned out that she had already been away from home for the bulk of 10 months. Shortly after she arrived back in Bosnia the "powers that be" decided that all of this, coupled with the fact that she is married with 4 young children, meant that she had already done her part and should return home. Not many of us have crossed the ocean twice in one week, but that's what Joy did. Reg and the girls were ecstatic to have her home again but Joy had to adjust to it. She felt badly about leaving her "mates" in Bosnia. However, her duty was fulfilled and she will be receiving 2 medals for her tour.

Sonya has been busy with work and play. She is still very much enjoying her job with Revenue Canada and is planning her holidays. She spent a few days in Alberta with her family over Christmas. Her boyfriend, Nick, was also in Edmonton visiting his family over Christmas.

Steven & Meredith are still busy working. Steven has been working his way up "the list" so that he can qualify for a transfer to one of the Alberta stores, preferably the Edmonton area. They are hoping to move there this year.

JEANNE & FRED BRANCH

Jeanne and Fred had a wonderful trip to Yellowknife again for Christmas, thanks to Terry & Judy. They were there for a whole month, plenty of time to get to know the place again, look up all their old haunts and old friends. They enjoyed putting the mukluks back on and feeling like "northerners". They arrived back in Sask on Jan. 9th, same day as Jo-Anne so they were home for Mom's memorial. They spent most of last fall finishing up their garden work with all the usual canning and freezing, etc.

Terry, Judy and Daniel are a typical busy family. Terry will soon have 3 years in with the phone company and Judy is still at the newspaper. Daniel is one of those rare kids who actually loves school (he could not be Terry's child) and he does very well at it. When not in school or socializing with his many friends he can usually be found with his Game Boy. Terry has spent time this winter with moose hunting and ice fishing. Yellowknife has been booming recently, mostly thanks to the diamond mines. They are all planning a trip to the West Edmonton Mall in March to celebrate Daniel's birthday.

LARRY & SHARON BRANCH

Larry & Sharon are as busy as ever with their jobs and keeping up with Amber & Dylan's activities. They attended the memorial for Mom in January. Sharon and Amber are planning a shopping trip to Saskatoon to prepare for grad. In the meantime, Amber is experimenting with hairstyles to find one she prefers for grad. Then she has the fun of figuring out what to do with her life once school is done. That's always the fun part. Dylan has been curling, curling and curling. He has been in spiels in Watrous, Southey, Regina, Strasbourg and probably all points in between. He and Larry took first in a cash spiel in Bulyea, followed by a spiel in Regina where Dylan got a $50 gift certificate. March 1st his team is headed to Districts.

JO-ANNE & ROY BRANCH

Roy & Jo-Anne continue to be busy with all the usual things. Roy has more projects than he quite knows what to do with and Jo-Anne managed to complete her Medical Transcriptionist course in record time. Just waiting for the final diploma now, then will be looking for work in that field. Our Christmas was nice and quiet. Susan, Rob, Alex & Erica were all over for gifts and a big meal on Christmas Eve. We spent Christmas Day with our friends Michelle & Kim at their family dinner.

Jo-Anne was home to Saskatchewan in January for Mom's memorial. Had a wonderful time and visited quite a few people, including Johnny Schaeffer, who hadn't been well. While home I learned that a former class-mate had passed away, the first from our class, Audrey MacPheat. While I was in Sask., Roy developed an eye problem, sixth nerve palsy. It caused him to have double vision and he had to wear an eye patch. I must say, he looked rather "pirate-like". All that was missing was a big, gold ear-ring and a peg leg. I don't think I had any more chance of talking him into the ear ring than the peg leg. He was told to expect it to last 1-6 months but it was completely better within about 3 weeks.

Susan & Rob have a new e-mail address (when their computer is working) and it is: susankidney@accesscable.net Rob started a new job in October with a construction company that specializes in aluminum doors and windows. He just loves it. Susan continues to be busy with her job, taking courses to continually upgrade. Alex is sometimes enjoying Grade 1 and sometimes wondering why he has to bother. He goes to visit his grandparents who live nearby after school 4 days per week and spends one day after school with Roy & Jo-Anne, where he spends most of the time trying to wear out his Grandma with playing. He is busy with his friends from school and socializes whenever he can with them. Erica continues to grow like a weed and charm everyone around her, when she's in the mood to be charming.

GERMAN BRANCH

Axel & Petra are both very busy with their jobs. Axel is able to combine much of his "regular" work with his "PhD" work, which makes life a little bit less complicated. His work must be going well because his company has won another award, the CrossRoads A-List Award for their ArcStyler. It will be presented in Phoenix on March 17 and Axel will be there with his boss to accept it. He's hoping to arrange an overnight stay in Pittsburgh on his way back from that because he has an old billiards buddy from Karlsruhe living there. Axel also helped to develop a new search engine type of tool called NewWave Searchables. It can be seen at: http://www.NewWaveSearchables.com

Petra spends her working hours going out to customers, investigating their numbers and paperwork, writing reports, and that sort of stuff. She tries to spend her weekends cramming for her major examinations coming up this summer. Those exams are probably why they don't have any major vacations planned. This is the time to study, play will have to come next year. They are hoping to spend a bit of time on weekend travel, hopefully a trip to Rome this summer.

RELATIVELY SPEAKING

Wendy, Dick & Chris Eddy were all in Strasbourg for Christmas visiting with Elinor & Ingolf. The company that Wendy works for closes over Christmas & New Year's so that makes holiday travel a lot easier. Chris moved to Moose Jaw immediately after the New Year. He is boarding with a family there while going to school at SIAST. In January while I was home, we often gathered at Diane & Gerry's to play the board game, "Who Wants to be a Millionaire". Wendy & Dick were very effective life lines at that time. When anyone had to "phone a friend" we called them. And the surprise is that they actually knew most of the answers! Who knew?

Wes, Karen & Kim of Calgary have been in touch. They stayed in Calgary for Christmas, as is their usual routine. They are an example of how the generations are blending - Wes & Karen went to a Tragically Hip concert with friends. Their daughter Kim was at the same concert with some of her friends! Karen is still enjoying working for Sears and Wes is as busy as ever with his job. Kim became the first student in Calgary to take her school year for Grade 11 over the internet. She is loving it and her marks prove that it's working out great for her. She got a new guitar for her 16th birthday and is fast learning how to make beautiful music.

Laura & Ted Garvey are pleased to announce that Brenda's daughter, Dena, is engaged to be married to Jason Disano of Saskatoon. Jason is originally from Sault Ste. Marie and is working on his Masters at the U.of S. They plan to be married in July 2002.

Erwin & Joan have moved to Langley, B.C. They are very happy with the development they are living in, particularly with the many miles of trails and park land that are right next door. It's a bit of a commute for Erwin but he feels it's well worth it. They are also living very close to Robyn, Tim and their children so it's great to have grandkids so close. Robyn & Tim own their own business in the Fraser Valley. Bridget & Ray and their little one live in McBride, B.C.

Brian & Heather continue to lead a busy life. Unfortunately, Brian is no longer with the trucking company he started with last fall. The high price of gas caused the company to scale back a lot. Brian is now teaching an evening course at the college in Lethbridge, which keeps him busy and out of trouble. Heather continues to do her internet work for About.com and is also busy with handling the Trooper website, which is at www.trooper.ca Trooper had a reunion concert in Vancouver in November with all original band members. They brought Heather & Brian out to help them celebrate. It was a wonderful time and they enjoyed every minute of it. They were all visiting with Reinhold & Grace early in December and brought a friend of Heather's back to stay for a few days. This year Brian, Heather and kids all went to Sask for Christmas to visit with Heather's family. Adam spends a lot of time with Air Cadets. Jenifer is taking drama classes (do we have a budding drama queen in the family?). Corbin is mostly involved with school and his computer games.

We have also heard from Patty, Art, Jess & Jordan Smith of Calgary. Patty was very happy to have Christmas for her family at their house this year. Dave, Nancy & Amy drove out from Sask for it. Patty's girls are busy - Jordan is into hockey now, playing in a Calgary girls' league. Jess is in grade 1 and involved in Sparks (pre-Brownies). Patty & Art got away for a few days of vacation in January and Agnes stayed with the girls while they were gone. Also, near the end of February, Agnes decided to move in permanently with Patty & Art. She can be reached at their e-mail address, which is: partysmith@home.com or at their phone number, which is: (403)201-2019. She'd love to hear from all of you there.

Our cousin, Donna Currie, of Vancouver was in Regina for a few weeks in January to help celebrate Uncle Red's birthday. Donna and Jeanne got together for their first visit in about 30 years.

UPCOMING EVENT!

It's official! REUHLION2001 will take place on July 21st and 22nd, 2001. The name is Larry's idea, and a good one at that. I don't know about you guys but I can see it on tee-shirts. I'm thinking that with Diane's connections she could probably talk to a wholesaler. Please be in touch with her if you are interested in the tee-shirt idea. She can be reached at digers@sk.sympatico.ca It looks like July 21st will be a day at the Bulyea Hall and the 22nd I believe will be a day at the farm. The one and only Uhl family farm, now tended lovingly by Dave & Nancy. Come one, come all! Heard from Helen Thalgott in Moose Jaw recently and she is working on organizing it. If you would like to be in touch with her with your ideas, comments, suggestions, her e-mail address is: hsthalgott@hotmail.com

WORDS FROM BOSNIA

As many of you probably know, Jim & Maryann's oldest daughter, Joy, has recently returned from Bosnia. While there she sent some of us letters about what things were like there. I will now excerpt some of what she sent me, in order to give you an idea of what life was like for her there.

I went into Zagreb on Friday so that I could order a new pair of glasses. I lost mine when I first got here and of course didn't bring my second set so I had to get new ones. They cost me 350 DM, which is about $240 Canadian but they are very stylish and very European (go figure). So while I was in Zagreb we took a tram to the center market square and it was like a huge farmer's market. Lots of flowers, food and crafts as well as "knock off" watches, jewelry, clothes and perfume. There were a lot of people there and I got quite the odd looks from people as I was in uniform and a woman. I went to Sipovo on Saturday and the countryside down in the southern part is now into fall colours. The trees are very vibrant with all the oranges, reds and yellows. There are not very many evergreens here so the mountain sides are alive with colour. I am getting used to the roads here now so it isn't as nerve-wracking to drive. Last week I also went to some of the local communities that we are helping for CIMIC. Each unit chooses a project to help the community. We went to see a crazy old lady. She thinks the war is still on and that people are trying to kill her. We chop wood for her, as well as bring her food and water. She went without food and water for 5 days a few weeks ago so we try to get up there as much as possible. Then we went to see another older lady and had some coffee at her place. Let's just say there are no problems staying awake for the rest of the day. You only drink the first 2/3 of the cup of coffee because the rest is all grounds. They let the grounds dry then turn it over and read your fortune. After that we went to a school that was badly damaged by the war and we will be fixing up the roof and providing some school supplies. This school is up in the mountains and very much out of touch with the larger communities. We handed out some candy to the kids there. I have been keeping very busy with some of the clubs here. I am equipment manager and score keeper for the Ball Hockey league and that completely fills 3 evenings a week. It helps the time go faster.

Well, I am back from my four day trip to Budapest. What a wonderful city. I did not have long enough to explore everything that there is to see. I did go up to the Royal Castle in which there is a museum. While in the museum I saw a lot of pictures that depict the history of Budapest. Budapest is a divided city. Buda is on one side of the Danube and Pest is on the other side. During the old days they used to ferry across until one of the bridges, the chain bridge, was constructed in 1849. This bridge is protected by lions on either side and is a reconstruction as the original bridge was destroyed in World War II. Walking in the downtown district the architecture is amazing. The buildings are all old with new modifications done to some of them. The pub that I went to was in the basement, as are most of them. The music they play is from the 80's. They are a very sexually liberated country. Many times I was thinking, "just get a room!" I went to a medieval restaurant for supper one night and what an experience that was! They were all dressed in period costume and you were not given forks so everything was done with your fingers. It was good food. I went to some of the markets; they have street vendors everywhere. I spent a lot of time there, as well as a lot of money. I did a lot of Christmas shopping there. Back at the hotel I got a full body massage. Now in Europe a full body massage is just what it says, FULL body. It was an hour long and cost about $50 Canadian and worth every penny. I also got a facial there and that, too, was a lot different than in Canada. You get a face massage for 20 minutes, then treatments to the face. This takes about an hour and a half and cost $40 Canadian. One of the best parts of the hotel was having a bathtub! I made sure I had 2 baths per day because the next one I get will be on Boxing Day in Canada. The tubs were wonderfully deep there.

That is all that I have in stories from Joy but I also have a couple of pictures. One of her with some puppies andanother of her and some of her buddies sorting out toys that were shipped over to Bosnia for children there.

ALLAN & CAROL BRANCH

Allan & Carol have continued to be pretty busy in their lives. They were headed to Weyburn in late October to attend a 50th wedding anniversary celebration, then to Calgary in November for a wedding. Allan took some time off from work in October to do house and yard work. Carol belongs to the Norwegian Cultural Society in Saskatoon and they have enjoyed several of their events. There was a lot of company at their house over Christmas this year. Trev was home, though he spent most of his time at Chris' house. Carol's family got together in Saskatoon for Christmas this year and divided their time between their house and Darlene & Brian's house. Allan, Carol, Chris & Kelsey all attended the memorial for Mom in January. And, believe it or not, they have decided to join the "wired world" and are now on the internet. They have had some trouble getting their system set up, but when it is running their addresses will be: allenuhl@home.com and also: carolhansen@home.com They look forward to hearing from everyone.

Trevor was home for a few weeks around Christmas and had a great time visiting family and friends. He got his deep sea diving ticket a few months ago and has been loving that sport. He dives in the river near where he lives. He expects to start another tour in Bosnia in March and hopes to do some diving there as well.

Chris bought a house in late November and is completely in love with his new home, particularly the attached garage! His new address is: # 17, 327 Berini Drive, Saskatoon, SK, S7N 4M7. He is now happily furnishing it and hosting poker parties and other get togethers for his friends.

Kelsey had a car accident and totalled the Vigor in September. Fortunately she wasn't badly hurt, mostly just sore and bruised after. Very sporting of the Vigor to absorb most of the damage. Her best friend, Bri, had a baby recently and Kelsey is spending time helping out and becoming the "favorite auntie". Kelsey has also been spending a great deal of time with her boyfriend, Jon. He has a computer where she has an e-mail address. She can be reached at: kelseyuhl@hotmail.com

DON & TRUDY BRANCH

Don & Trudy have had a busy fall and winter, as usual. Don spends a great deal of time on the truck, so Trudy spends a great deal of time driving bus. Don has recently hired Gerald Munholland to help with the truck and it is working out great. Don, Trudy and their kids all attended the memorial for Mom in January. The day after the memorial Don brought a tape he made for a memorial to Eileen to Diane's house and we all really enjoyed watching that. It added something special to the weekend. Trudy's Uncle Selmer passed away early in February.

Danielle continues to enjoy working at Shopper's Drug Mart in Regina. She gets home most weekends to visit the family. Nicole went on a wonderful trip to Quebec in February, a student exchange. She was very happy to be there during their Winter Carnival. She also went snow rafting and skiing, as well as visiting the Legislature. They went to a hockey tournament and to an IMAX theatre. The trip was great fun and educational too. The Quebec students will be coming to Sask in April. Justin is as busy as ever, always dreaming up creative new ways to drive his teachers crazy (for some of them it's a very short drive). He appears to have great success with this.

JACKIE & WAYNE BRANCH

Jackie and Wayne have a very busy household, as always. They have been working on their renovations again and now have their new kitchen cabinets. The big trick will be assembling them! Jackie had health problems in the fall and missed some work. She had a laparoscopy in early January and hopes that things are all fixed up. Scar tissue can be nasty stuff. She was back at work in February. Their family all attended the memorial for Mom in January, right down to the great-grandkids!

Cory & Jess were at the memorial. Cory is busy working and spending as much time with his boys as he can. Cory & Jess are expecting their first child in April. Brandy & Craig both get a lot of hours in at their jobs. They spent time helping Jackie with various household chores when Jackie was sick. Denise has been working hard at her school marks. She had hoped to attend a cheerleading event in Saskatoon in January but the trip was cancelled. While that was a disappointment, it worked out well because she was able to attend Mom's memorial. Gerry supplied me with a picture he took at Cory & Jess's wedding.

DIANE & GERRY BRANCH

Diane & Gerry had a busy fall and winter, working lots of hours but managing to fit in a bit of time away too. Frank & Niki had a lot of fun when school got started in the fall. Niki was a freshy and Frank was freshy king. Gerry was kind enough to furnish me with pictures.

I believe Niki is somewhere in the picture above and Frank should be in the one below.

Diane, Ger and kids headed to Saskatoon for a weekend in October. After that Niki got down to work on her music, using the computer to do some really neat stuff musically. She also passed her alpha quest 7 in swimming. Frank has been busy planning his graduation and his new life of ultimate freedom. (scary thought) He was generous enough to lend his car to Jo-Anne when she was visiting in January. They hosted Mom's memorial at their house and did a wonderful job. A lot of time and effort went into it, with everyone pitching in to do their bit. The whole family, including Ida, went to Edmonton to spend a week in the mall there in February. They didn't even see the outdoors the whole time they were there. They relaxed, played, ate too much and generally had a great time.

SURPRISE LETTER

I had a very nice surprise recently. I was in the mood to reminisce after the memorial for Mom so when I came home I was going through a basket of cards. I have the cards that were sent to Dad when Mom died and I took each of them out and looked at them. When I did this I discovered a letter that I had never seen before. It is undated and was written by Mom's brother Ed, to her. If any of you has ever read one of his letters, you will know that he has a very unique way of writing. He has the heart and soul of a poet and it shows. I don't believe I am betraying any confidences by publishing it, I simply want to share his special words and style with you:

Dear Anne,

It is with a great deal of pleasure for me to have this short visit with you. Oh! Dear Sister-- I have written you many times - this is the first time via the pen.

In Arizona - as I walked the arid desert floor - I wrote to you upon a gentle breeze - to impart a message from my Heart!

As I drove my rig thru Colorado - I pulled to the side of the road - to marvel at winter's white carpet of cleanliness - And I captured your beauty in a Snowflake.

In the flat lands of Wyoming - I wrote to you Anne - when the wind whispered a love song to me - I whistled you a Tune!

There was that cloudy day in Vermont - the clouds parted and the sky smiled thru - that's when I wrote to you.

Driving thru Kansas the nite as black as a Raven's wing - I give Eby (my truck) a rest - as I go for a walk in the clear, cold night -- I walk feeling so fine - happy and beautiful - I stop -- and listen --- becoming as silent as a fallen star. Then to be overwhelmed with Love and Joy - so I fill the giant Dipper - and pour some love out to You.

As I drove thru the Smokey Mountains in Virginia - I saw trees barren yet beautiful as winter weaves its tapestry of frost upon their fragile limbs -- and I wrote to you with so much warmth - that my icicle melted.

I wrote to you from the plains of Texas - as I stopped to admire the wild flowers -- trying to capture their radiant hues -- I Smiled -- Knowing -- the Aroma of Love--

So Anne, my dear wild flower -- I have -- I do -- and will -- always sense the Aroma of your Love -- And Wing it out to you upon the Wind!

Anne I enjoyed this visit with you -- will have to get together again. Maybe in person - or via the pen - and always upon the Wind.

I say hello to Frank - truly a wonderful man.

So with Love and Happiness to You and Your Family,

I am

Ed

With Love.
