game for them. It was a hard fought battle because the kids they beat were older and more experienced. He was also in the annual curling bonspiel in Strasbourg where his team won 1st in the 3rd event. He was also in the "Lads & Lassies" curling tournament with Frank at the end of March.![]() I finally figured out how to get regular news on their family. Nicole & I are now e-mailing all the time. Thank goodness someone in that family likes to write letters! Don, Trudy, Nicole & Justin were curling as a team again this year. They didn't win a lot but they sure had fun together. Nicole is taking Sheeva to dog obedience classes and it's going well. Justin has been busy in band but he could be practicing more. He & Nicole visited with Danielle in Regina over the March break. Danielle now has a new job. The first one didn't pan out so she is now working at Sears in the same area Jackie is in. She also went on a trip to Calgary with Arron & his family over Easter. That same weekend Don & Trudy headed to |
Saskatoon for the Dragon's car show. Nicole is still very involved in sports. She was in Saskatoon for a basketball tournament in Feb. She's also in wrestling and won 2 of her 4 matches. Don has been busy, along with Wayne, finding, purchasing and storing a couple of motorbikes for Axel's summer trip. Roy continues to be very busy with his projects. He has been to Montreal a couple of times recently. He also had his very first ambulance ride when he was over in Halifax and his ear drum burst due to an ear infection. He was unable to drive himself so a kind passerby called an ambulance for him. No siren though, life is full of disappointments. He's all better now. Jo-Anne quit her job at the dentist office after nearly 10 years. Time for a change. I am now helping Roy with some of his projects. My commute to work has gone from a 5 minute walk across a parking lot to a 10 second walk down the hall. As mentioned earlier, we are both planning a trip to Sask this summer, July 22 to Aug 4, and hope to see |
everyone there. With a bit of luck we may even get to drive out to Alberta. We'll see how pressed for time we are.![]() The last few months have been very busy in that household. The wedding preparations were in full swing and the hard work paid off. They got some work done on the house to make room for everyone who came over for the gift opening the day after the wedding. The main bathroom is now nearly completed. Denise has been busy with cheerleading which is now finished for the year. She is doing very well in school. She was rather freaked out when she woke up with a swollen face just the week prior to the wedding. It turned out to be an allergy of some sort and thankfully the swelling was brought down by medication and she looked lovely on the big day. The family, including Ida, were all at the West Edmonton Mall for a short vacation in February. They ran into Chris who was there for his birthday. Frank has been involved in a lot of curling Go to Page 5 |
