![]() Wayne is still working at driving truck and getting the house finished. Jackie had been working at The Bay and enjoying it, when Sears called to offer her a job with more hours and higher pay. That was pretty much a no-brainer. The Bay wants to keep her on the payroll so she can work a day or two for them when she has time. Denise passed into Grade 9 and will be spending much of her summer babysitting and going to the pool. She spent a few days at Don & Trudy's in July. Brandy is still busy working. She had a week's holidays so she and Craig went camping to Katepwa. Cory, Amy & David are all doing fine. Early in July Amy's great grandmother died, unfortunately before they had a chance to get a picture of her with David, her great great grandson. David is growing like crazy. They will be moving into a new place in the west end of Regina in August. Renovations moved right along on their expansion and it opened on July 17 to rave reviews. They are all enjoying the change and hope |
to see relatives in there for coffee. At the end of May, Diane, Gerry, Niki & Ida went to Regina to see "Skate the Nation" with Kurt Browning, Brian Orser, etc. They loved it. Niki had a music recital in Regina on May 8th and took a trophy for first place! That same day, Frank and his science partner, Ryan Johnson, got on a plane for Timmins, Ont to compete in a national science fair. They won a certificate for Honorable Mention (4th place) in the Life Science Special Awards. Then they took First place in the Agriculture & Agricultural Food Canada Category. For this they each got $500. They spent a week in Timmins and pretty much tore up the town. In sports this year Niki is still involved in swimming and Frank is playing ball again. At the "Run, Jump & Throw" day at school in June, Niki won several gold and silver medals. ![]() Axel went through a very busy time at work in April and May. He finally got it all behind him so that he could enjoy a big motorcycle tour in May. Unfortunately there was a lot of rain and the others on the tour gave up |
and went home (wimps!) Axel went on alone. Not long after that he was off on another tour, this one with a friend to Prague in the Czech Republic. He has been on many other small tours around Germany. He has been busy planning the agenda for when Roy & Jo-Anne come to Germany in July & Aug. There will be a full report on that in the next newsletter. ![]() Sam & Brenda Uhl were married in Saskatoon on June 27th. Sam is the son of Wilf & Doreen.
