will get full time hours on the University Computer Help Desk in April. He will be applying for a year long posting at that same position in May. I haven't heard much from them since the last newsletter but I know that they have both been quite busy with their jobs. They were in Saskatoon for a visit in February. Sharon drove Amber, her science partner Erin, Frank and his science partner, Ryan to a competition in Bruno, Sask in March after they won at their school.
They spent part of the Feb. school break in Saskatoon, visiting and enjoying the water slides. Don bought another sewer truck and hopes to have someone helping out part time. They recently got another "outside" dog, a large mixed breed female named Sheva. Don has sold a couple of his cars recently, one to a German who owns property at the beach. Don was re-elected to the Credit Union board. Trudy has had a couple of relatives pass away in recent weeks - her Aunt |
Rose in January and her Uncle Harvey in March. Danielle is busy preparing for her graduation from high school on June 26th. Nicole & Justin have been busy with all their activities and both were home for a few days with the flu in March. ![]() Yes, I was in the hospital again in March. That's only 3 times in about a year! Another bowel obstruction, though the doctors feel this one was due more to all the scar tissue I have inside than to Crohn's disease itself. I'm back on my feet again and just about back to where I was before this latest "visit to the spa". I've spent most of my spare time preparing for our move in early May. Roy has been very busy, between teaching and writing software programs he can barely keep up. He finished a major program for National Gypsum and Canadian Steamships and is now negotiating to sell the copyright. I attended "Stars on Ice" with Kurt Browning and other major skaters at the end of April. |
![]() Wayne is working part time again and Jackie is working at the Bay. Her job at the City Hall cafeteria didn't work out quite the way she had hoped. They were out at Dad & Evelyn's for Easter dinner. The big news in their family is the new Grandchild! (see attached announcement) I have a difficult time thinking of Jackie & Wayne as "Grandma & Grandpa". Denise & Brandy are thrilled to be aunties. The baby did spend a few days in hospital, beginning in NeoNatal care due to an infection. All was resolved though and little David went home on Saturday the 25th. Diane & Frank spent a week in Nova Scotia in Feb. visiting with Roy & Jo-Anne. They had a great time, ate lots of seafood. Diane was actually rendered speechless by the sights on Citadel Hill. The family had tickets to the Scott Tournament of Hearts in Regina and attended as many games as they could. Diane attended a town councilor conference in Saskatoon in April. She did manage to get in a visit with Allan & Carol while there. Go to Page 5 |
