few things done around home.
We had Sonya visiting in June (see "Next Generation") and Jo-Anne plans a trip to Sask for early August. We are also hoping to squeeze in another trip to PEI over the summer, hopefully without visiting the hospital this time.
Brandy graduated from high school except for a couple of courses that she is making up in July. She was on the Grad Committee and managed to get a great table for her family to watch the "grand parade" of graduates.
Jackie is back working at the Harvest. Imagine her surprise when she was going through some old clothes and found $300 U.S. in cash! The rule is that you keep what you find. Who is she to argue with the rules?
The company Wayne works for has been taken over and he isn't sure how long he will be there. He has been doing a lot of hauling to Winnipeg in recent weeks.
Cory plans on moving home in July. He is still working and has a new girl friend.
Denise has been very busy this summer. She finished Grade 7 at Wetmore School, which has now closed. They had a
graduation for all of the students. She will take Grade 8 at Arcola. She is also doing a lot of babysitting for various people. She presided over a guest register for a wedding in June. She also got a diploma of thanks for tutoring in "English as a 2nd Language". She got a thank you card, in English, from her pupil, Zuhra. Zuhra is originally from Bosnia.
Diane & Gerry celebrated Diane's birthday with a day in Regina, leaving Frank & Niki with Grandma Ida.
They had plenty of graduation ceremonies to attend with just a few days. First there was Gerry's daughter, Shana, in Hudson Bay. They attended the Strasbourg grad as special guests, sitting at one of the head tables.
They've been very busy with the store, farm, home, etc. Never a dull moment there. They are also hosting a big "wingding" when Jo-Anne is home on August 6th.
Frank went to spend time at Chris Eddy's house and Chris was returning to spend time with him for a few days, maybe try his hand helping out in the store. From one generation to the next - it seems like just the
other day that Chris' mom, Wendy, was helping out at Mom & Dad's store with me.
Niki has been maintaining her usual busy social calendar. She is involved in all sorts of things and has friends all over town.
