Welcome to another edition of the family grapevine. It appears that this has been a time of passages. In this quarter we have looked at a milestone in the number of years since Mom had to leave us. We have also seen the departure of her Mom, Grandma Ebenal. While it's difficult to really grieve for someone who has lived a wonderfully full life for 100 years, it's still sad to see her go. For me, it was losing another tie that I had with Mom and that's never easy. I will be eternally grateful that I was able to spend time with her at her 100th birthday party.

Along with these sad passages that we have looked at, there is also the joyous promise of new life and new beginnings with Joy about to give birth to another generation. The cycle of life continues and we are grateful for that. (See Special Events)

I must also report that we have another staff member, Frank Oehler has agreed to come on staff as the proofreader. It seems that I just won't stop making silly mistakes, the most recent is that I had Bear's year of passing away as 1985 on his

obituary when we all know it should have been 1995. Apparently Frank picked that out within seconds of looking at the paper. I never noticed until I heard from him. Now I have decided to bring him on staff so that there is someone other than me to blame when something slips past me. I figure it gets me off the hook at least somewhat and I think he's old enough to take the pressure.

Terry & Judy
They recently bought an 18 foot travel trailer at a sheriff's auction. Nearly new for $400! Theirs was the only bid. They also put a bid in on a brand new mobile home. It's larger than theirs and when their old one went into the paper there was an offer within 90 minutes.

Terry was off work for 2 weeks in early March, then went back to 7 days a week, 10 hours a day for 2 months.

Judy is still working full time and recently held a birthday party for Daniel's 3rd birthday. They grow up so fast.

Susan & Rob Alex was diagnosed with a severe allergy
