Carol has been singing with a new group named "Solstice" She is also leading the church choir for a month. Curling starts September 28th and of course she is still working too.
Allan plans on writing for his real estate licence in late October. He's been doing a lot of studying and is envious of Kelsey & Chris because they've developed good study habits and he's rather "out of shape" when it comes to that sort of thing. School was a looonnng time ago for Allan. He's also involved in racquet ball and curling is about to start.
The whole family attended Grandma's 100th birthday party - Allan & Chris drove while Carol & Kelsey flew in. No matter how you got there, it was a great time.

Haven't heard much from Larry and Sharon this quarter but I do know that Sharon is still working at the cafe. It keeps her very busy

what with her garden and all that stuff too. Larry is driving bus again.
Amber & Dylan are back in school. I do know that Sharon managed to find the time to make pickles again because Jackie was telling me that she got some of them. If you've got more pickles than you know what to do with Sharon, send some out here. It's been a long time since I've had homemade pickles.

Nicole decided she wanted to participate in the "Cripple Cousins Club" when she broke 2 fingers on her hand in late July. It was a particularly nasty break and required a hospital visit to get everything "set" again. Very painful for her.
Danielle attended a week long summer camp in P.A. with Kelsey.
The family took a holiday in August when they decided to head down to Nevada to visit our cousin Dale & Sandra.

We went on a short vacation to PEI late in July. We had some bad luck with Dixie again when she had an eye infection but other than that she's fine. Those anal glands appear to have healed

nicely. Our car was in the "hospital" too, first a computer chip, then a wheel alignment, a catalytic converter and finally a head gasket for goodness sakes! They just don't build cars to last these days. Fortunately the head gasket was not in bad shape, it was just beginning to cause a problem and no damage was done. It pays to have a friend who's a mechanic.
Other than that it's been all good news. Phillip showed up unexpectedly on our doorstep in August. We hadn't seen him in 12 years and it was a real treat. He drove his motorbike down from Yellowknife.
It was only shortly after that visit that Roy was finally offered a job. He's the high tech professor at the new high tech college campus in Truro, N.S. It's a 50 minute drive up the highway from us and the job is everything he'd hoped for and more. It's so nice to be financially solvent again!
After that Jo-Anne found out that she could get a seat sale ticket to Vancouver for Grandma's party, only $269 return. What a great time that was. Then, Elvis Stojko started his new tour here in Halifax and Jo-Anne went to that with friends.
