![]() Jim has recently started work at a new job in Burnaby. The company is Regent Communications. They do all the hook-ups for BC Tel, Shaw Cable, etc. They have a fleet of 50 trucks and Jim looks after them with one other mechanic. Jim is working the evening shift so he even gets to enjoy the beautiful weather during the day and avoid rush hour traffic. He finds the pay is better and he actually has weekends off for a change! Maryann has been working evenings as well but switches to days after July 1st with her contract going to the end of July. After that, who knows? Jim has another little venture that he has just started. Someone he knows has approached him about managing a small garage and parts sales place in a strip mall nearby. He will be able to make a percentage off the labour and the profits on parts. Since his full time job doesn't start until the evening he figures he can spend 4 hours or so doing this as well. Steven and Sonya are as busy as ever with their jobs. They have both decided that it's time to move out on their own too. Sonya has been sharing an apartment with a girl from work (who is also from Sask.). Steven is |
moving into an apartment this week with a few others. Jim & Maryann really will have a lot of room for company now. Interesting tidbit for Don - The Vancouver Indy race is on the same weekend as Grandma's 100th party.![]() I decided it would be a good idea to put in everyone's Internet address since there seem to be quite a few on it. Fax numbers are probably a good idea too - actually the idea for the fax numbers came from Chris so he gets credit for that. Can you believe how long this issue is? The usual has been 4 pages and this one is 6. Hopefully, it's a reflection of the fact that everyone is getting used to the idea of letting me know all the news for the newsletter. Again, I print as much as I have. I'm sure that the average amount printed about each of our families will even out in the long run. Again I remind you that I am happy to print contributed articles. Carol sent me her article about their anniversary party and anyone else that has something can send it. These contributions will be printed as space allows. Have a great summer everyone, keep track of your summertime activities and holidays. The next issue will be out on or about October 1st.
