Wouldn’t you know it, every penny went to the vet for the various pet problems.  So much for holidays.  Since then they got a new Sheltie, Booster.  They spent Christmas morning at Jackie and Wayne’s and that evening with Craig’s family.

DIANE & GERRY BRANCH

Niki has been very busy working.  She’s still with Mac’s and enjoying it very much.  She also started a part-time job with Flash Media.  For her work experience class she was working for a dentist on Rochdale.  She had thought about going into dentistry but there is too much of it that just makes her feel sick.  She also enjoys spending whatever spare time she has with her boyfriend, TC.

Frank has been working for Western Inventories for a number of months now and enjoys it very much.  Fortunately, they seem to like him too.  They do a lot of traveling in large company vans, which was quite entertaining through the winter with bad road conditions.  He’s been involved in the van doing a “360” on the highway at 100 kph.  Also slid into a gas pump bay in Manitoba.  Probably the most fun was when trying to get a van out of the ditch in the snow when they all heard a noise and jumped into the ditch.  They narrowly avoided being hit by a jack-knifed semi that time.  He’s had some car trouble too.  He came out from enjoying a movie at the theatre to find that someone had wiped out most of the front end of his car in the mall parking lot.  They didn’t hang around to take the credit for it either.

Ger is having trouble deciding what he wants to be when he grows up so he’s been dabbling in a number of things.

He was brought on board to help save a dollar store franchise in the neighborhood recently but he might have been the kiss of death instead because the lock went on the door early in April.  Good thing he’s multi-talented, he has since found something else that he is currently in training for. Di continues to travel a lot for her job.  Besides spending a lot of time in P.A., Melfort and Moose Jaw, she flew to Vancouver for a couple of days in March and was at Winnipeg for a day too.  She has a new store scheduled to open in Regina in early summer and is always scouting for new possibilities.  The food services rep recently left the company so she will be doing “double duty” for awhile.  Diane & Gerry spent the weekend at the spa in Moose Jaw at the end of March.  Ida came into Regina to stay with Frank and Niki while they were gone.  The only one who really needs a sitter is the dog Bandit.  He enjoys “quality time” with his Grandma.

This picture was taken of Bandit at Christmas .  I’d say that he was just brimming with the spirit of Christmas .
